Trenton

The Battle of Trenton took place in the middle of the night on Christmas going into the day after Christmas. Washington crossed the Delaware River in the middle of the night then proceeded into the town. The town was occupied mostly by Hessians (German Mercenaries) , who where drunk in their celebrations of Christmas and were taken completely by surprise with the attack. They were quickly run out of town by Washington's forces.without injuring any of his men.
